Abra CEO, Bill Barhydt, has said that enterprise blockchains will not see the adoption they are seeking. The CEO likened enterpriseblockchains to the early Internet days: https://www.cryptolinenews.com/2019/02/enterprise-blockchains/

Is Barhydt's argument like the one which said enterprises will give up data storage internally as there are great secure cloud providers?

But enterprises soon find issues with the cost and constraint of cloud providers lock-in contracts, and given the choice they'd prefer to have control over their data in-house. Reminds me about the value of enterprise blockchain!

One of the key marketing trends identified in Econsultancy's: "Companies are seeking greater control and ownership of their data, with a focus on compliance and concern about ‘walled gardens’." Sounds like a strong case for enterprise use of blockchain, along the lines I mentioned? (https://econsultancy.com/reports/2019-digital-trends/)
